Dual Credit Calculus 1
Course Description
This dual-credit course introduces high school students to the foundational concepts of differential and integral calculus, bridging high school mathematics with college-level rigor. Students explore limits, continuity, derivatives, rates of change, optimization, definite and indefinite integrals, and the Fundamental Theorem of Calculus. Through analytical problem-solving, graphical analysis, and real-world modeling in physics, economics, and geometry, students learn to model changing quantities and justify mathematical conclusions. Upon successful completion, students earn both high school math credit and transferable college credit (typically equivalent to Calculus I / MATH 2413). This course includes:
