Western Civilization III
Course Description
This High School course examines the cultural, political, and socio-economic transformations of Western civilization from the mid-19th century to the contemporary era. Students explore major global developments, including the Industrial Revolution, imperialism, world wars, totalitarianism, the Cold War, and modern globalization. Through close readings of primary source documents, historical analysis, and argumentative writing, students analyze how modern ideologies have shaped today’s globalized world. Upon completion, students earn high school social studies credit. This course includes:
